A member in good standing can request a (1) one year leave of absence by submitting a written letter to the Membership Director during the annual renewal period. Once approved, the member does not pay dues, will not be in the directory for the year, will not have access to the website, cannot attend luncheons or participate in any activities. At the end of the year, the member needs to notify the Membership Director whether they are renewing their membership or resigning from Encore. Reinstatement will be at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Once approved for reinstatement, the member resumes active status by paying dues for the following year.

 

Members in good standing can take a personal leave for illness or as a primary caregiver by informing the Membership Director in writing at any time during the year. They must keep paying dues to maintain their status but will not be expected to attend luncheons or participate in activities while on leave.
